Seaplane Avgas LG2/Raddisson
I'm looking at some options for flying up north and it seems there are no seaplane bases in or around LG2. Any ideas for getting avgas in a floatplane around there? LG4 is a bit out of the way and it seems like someone would have something in that area (LG2).

Brad, where are you coming from and what's your final destination? LG4 does have reliable fuel and good docking. It's operated by Cargair. Very nice people and there are rooms/meals avialable if needed and reasonably priced. Here is the sign by the dock with their info.

I am up that way every year on floats.

I've been there and I agree its great. My destination will probably be about 200 miles north of Radisson between Lac a L'eau Claire and the Bay. LG4 adds some mileage to the trip. Also I was going to meet some friends up there and its a long drive on the Trans-Taiga to get to LG4 whereas Radisson is more central and easier to get to. I would be tempted to have them fill Jerry Cans at LG2 if I could land near there. I think they have avgas at LG2 airport.

I've never once paid much attention to that sign I just posted, but I am pretty sure it's not located at N 42 34 Maybe more like N 53 42 Anyway, I haven't been into LG2 because of being too far west for where I'm heading. Fuel in the north is becoming a setback in travelling up there. If your buddies had the room I'd be considering having them haul two drums for you. I usually fuel in Matagami, where are you fueling before you hit Radisson?
