Just out of curiosity, if you're at 10 year F/O at Colgan and get upgraded to CA, do you go to year 10 CA wages?

Good question...probably not...I think the pay goes by years in that position (ie 3 year f/o goes to year 1 captain at time of upgrade), at least that's how it's done where I work.

But on a more important note, If I spend 10 years as an f/o at Colgan, Sky Regional, Georgian, CMA, or any of the like, I'd probably clue in to the fact that I'll never make captain.

I guess it would depend on what's in your contract, but at Jazz it goes by years with the company. 10 yr FO = 10 yr Capt. pay .. you don't start over at year 1.
