It comes with a satellite that will scratch your ass from space with a laser beam.

U.S. officials say that Pakistani fighter jets were scrambled to intercept the choppers, but didn't reach them.
From the bottom of the article.

So if this stuff is so stealthy, why would you have a reason to scramble a jet? Gunfire? That happens hourly over there.

I dunno.

Who says they even saw them on radar? They conducted a raid less than a kilometer from a military academy, you don't think someone might have reported it? The whole town us surrounded by hills and mountains. Stealth technology doesn't make things invisible to radar, it just reduces the cross section of the aircraft, hopefully (though not always) so that it approaches the noise floor of the systems trying to detect it. The Pakistani military may have picked up the helicopters on radar as they entered town, and approached close to some radar site, but lost them again as they reentered the terrain towards the Afghan border. The jets may have been called in but were unable to target the helicopters due to the stealth tech. There are a pile of reasons why jets could have been called in, and another pile of reasons why they could have failed to detect or intercept the helicopters.

Look at the first gulf war. The Iraqis had AAA going up like crazy trying to shoot down the F-117s on the first night of the bombings, but they never picked them up on radar. A shitload of explosions around Baghdad sort of gave away that there were bombers around, though.

no sig because apparently quoting people in context is offensive to them.

Apparently they didn't do a very good job of blowing up that "stealth" helicopter.

Maybe they should have used these guys to do the job right:
