Many years ago, I was driving along and saw an executive type standing on the side of the road next to his BMW or something, he looked like he was trying to cross the road. I drove past him and in my rear view mirror saw I guess a Blackberry go flying. He was waiving frantically shaking his fists at me and ran out to gather up the pieces.

My wife and I killed ourselves laughing, he must have dropped it out of the window while talking, then pulled over to try to get it, only to see me drive over it ;)

Was hilarious at the time but of course now that I have an love my iPhone I supposed I'd be annoyed too if somebody drove over it ;)

Coolest thing I 'felt' last night: I was on a Delta flight (A319) from Vcvr to Minneapolis; First officer absolutely greased it on. Best airline touchdown I've ever experienced - could not tell when the weight was on the ground. 757 Captain did a pretty nice one into Orlando, too.

The coolest thing for me is too watch my airplane transform old men into teenage boys.
Every once in a while I am lucky enough to meet wartime pilots that just happen to have learned to fly on the Fleet Finch ( in two cases soloed on my actual aircraft)
I watch the truly remarkable transformation that takes place as they change from hunched over shuffling old men. They actually start standing straight, become energetic, smile and joke around as they once again become young men that flew. They seem truly happy to be back in the world of airplanes and pilots. They are the reason I wanted to fly and the reason I keep their memories alive.
Not many of them are left now
I am going to miss that when they are all gone

How about a pod of Orcas during my annual PPC in Beaver AOP beside my good friend, an 11,000 hour coast dog pushing my through the tasks...

A great coastal day.

I have older gentlemen say it to me on a regular basis. "I always wanted to do that" I always ask "What's stopping you" The answer is always I am too old now.

This was not today but not long ago, when I did a power check along with my two year old grand son. Was too windy to go flying but I promised him next time we'll go in the sky for real.

It beated a Chrismas tree.

The coolest thing I saw today was the northern Quebec countryside whiz below me while sitting on the edge of the ramp with my feet dangling down onboard a C-130 Hercules at 300 feet.
