Financial Post: Climate models go cold

They keep lowering the temperature increases they expect, from 0.30C per decade in 1990, to 0.20C per decade in 2001, and now 0.15C per decade — yet they have the gall to tell us “it’s worse than expected.” These people are not scientists. They overestimate the temperature increases due to carbon dioxide, selectively deny evidence, and now they conceal the truth.
Which side are you on? I never was on the global warming bandwagon. Good thing too... If I did think the earth is on the verge of melting, it would be hard to justify one short trip in an airplane that uses as much gas as my truck does all summer. :mrgreen:

Not a climate scientist, nor do I make any claims to be so, but:

1.) I can't see that burning a non-renewable resource willy-nilly, and pumping the ensuing exhaust into the atmosphere can be a good thing, long-term;

and

2.) So if we are going to get a moister atmosphere (and more rain)
The planet reacts to that extra carbon dioxide, which changes everything. Most critically, the extra warmth causes more water to evaporate from the oceans. But does the water hang around and increase the height of moist air in the atmosphere, or does it simply create more clouds and rain? Back in 1980, when the carbon dioxide theory started, no one knew. The alarmists guessed that it would increase the height of moist air around the planet, which would warm the planet even further, because the moist air is also a greenhouse gas.
Does that mean that the huge floods in Manitoba and the lower Mississippi valley might become more frequent? - thus bringing us back to #1 above.

Changes are already happening, in climate, desertification, and increase in ocean levels. We all have our ideas about it, about the causes, about the immediate remedies, but one thing is certain. These climate changes will have dire consequences, as food prices will go up, low lands will be submerged, and fertile lands will disappear.
It may be too late to do anything about it, but is there any harm done in becoming more frugal with fossil energy?
Of course, we are fed conflicting opinions by big business, and politicians. We all know these cannot be trusted to tell the truth... :shock:

Here is the solution . We need to rid the world of about 5 billlion people. No more warming from their bodies. No more Co2 being explelled from their lungs. an 80% reduction in the demand for resource use, and space to allow the earth to recover ....

I will need help with this. My first slogan...Save the world...nuke other nations, did not catch on like I had hoped it would, so I am open for suggestions
