For how long is my written and cpl flight test valid??
So i did my written cpl maybe 6 months ago, and il try to do my flight test soon. I have 150 hours, but il need an other 50 to get my cpl. How long do i have to get my 50hours before the written or the flight test expires? I heard something about a year after the written, but not so sure....
Thanks!
Thanks!

Try this area of CARS. I find the regs generally confusing, but this may help.

The written is valid 2 years.
Totally irresponsible, unnecessary, dangerous, immature and reprehensible. In other words brillant!

As Renegade said; the written is valid for two years, the flight test is valid for one. If in that time you fail to finish off your remaining hours, you'll have to redo them.

Correct!! I fell into the trap of passing the written and putting off the check-ride(I thought that 2 years was an eternity). It did catch up to me and I beat the 2 year deadline by ONE day. One of the most stressful days I had way back when.RenegadeAV8R wrote:The written is valid 2 years.
I did have more then the required flight time, so that was not a factor.
Good luck with the CPL!

Don't forget you have to complete the application within this time.shitdisturber wrote: As Renegade said; the written is valid for two years, the flight test is valid for one. If in that time you fail to finish off your remaining hours, you'll have to redo them.

Maybe the FTU was one of the ones that spend most of their time telling you how lucky your are not to be at the other company on the field instead of teaching.Wacko wrote:I fail to see why a CPL candidate is unable to answer this question for him/her self.... uhhh.. piece of candy! uhh.......piece of..
