But really, how can you have a genderless child. The Good Lord created us as either a boy or a girl and programed us to act either masculine or feminine. There ain't no two ways about it. You is what you is. These parents have been into the piyote way too much.

I think that's the whole point, Duck. My take on the parents (completely crackpot names and all) is that they are letting the kids follow their programming to be either masculine or feminine, and act accordingly. (although I somehow doubt these little boys will be allowed to pretend-play with guns) This would be in opposition to the societal pressures that the kids face that say things like (for instance) 'boys play hockey, girls figure skate' ...

One of my Grand mother grew up a bit as a Tomboy, probably doing thing unusual for a girl of her time I guess.
She told me that she was always annoyed when people would call her this way "Tomboy" while she was a fully growing up little girl in her mind and gender.
Something I should add, the expression of Tomboy in French (Garçon manqué) is a bit radical.
It literally means "failed boy!".

She warned me to never, never call my daughters this way.

If they wanted to stunt their children's development and put them on a path of failure all they had to do was baptise them. But this gets the parents a lot more attention, which is what matters I think.

What these nutjobs are doing, amounts to child abuse.

I think what they're doing is far less abusive than if they were carting their kid out on Sundays to be told that if they don't bow down to the cosmic Jewish zombie who was his own father they'll be consumed in hellfire for all eternity.

I think that despite their weird names, and being given a choice of whether they want to play with dolls or trucks (oh the horror! oh the humanity!) those kids will be just fine. Actually I think they'll be well adjusted and able to think for themselves, which is a truly precious and rare quality to have.

The gender role of the parents is whoever is on top during intercourse is the man. If they like it any other position, well, now we are back to square one? It just gets more confusing doesn't it.

LOL, some of the responses on here remind me of what people used to say about "free" schools like Sundance Elementary in the 70's. "Bah!! these kids will pick their nose all day at school and be left behind when they have to go to a real school!!" or "These kids are too young to make these kind of choices for themselves, this school will just create more delinquents ", " Kids don't need freedom they need structure and need to be told what to do", "Wonderful, we're making more communists!!!", etc. Almost 40 years later and still going strong. You have to admire their insight and success. Back then the concept seemed alot more radical than the subject content of this thread today. I certainly had my doubts it would work.

As far as this subject is concerned.....The children are not being physically or emotionally abused, are not being taught hatred or contempt for others, etc so I say have ater.
