I wonder how many of those people would have ever danced at a national monument in their life if they never said it was illegal? Im guessing probably none.

A total set up to justify the stealing of freedoms of Torontians.

Your argument is invalid.

By the way, my favourite marine working for the Russians gained some freedom for the American people today.

Man, I wish we had a constitution like the Americans.

Anyways, here's the update on dancing rights in the U.S.A.

And why the hell do the Yanks need Russian TV to promote freedom? We live in a f'd up world.

Not quite. I claim that this media car was left to be burned. All of the expensive equipment was removed from it and when it was surrounded, the police were ordered to stand down. I'm not sure if it was an agent provocateur that lit it or just some anarchist punk.

My vote would be ..... (not unexpected) .... "some anarchist punk."

Should have been given a three round burst to the head.

Or maybe they should have called in "Sledge Hammer" to deal with the little miscreant.

A little bit of time with an M-72 would have been just what he needed to settle him down. ... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LSr_3E7VWmo

The little weasel may still escape and hole up in some seedy motel room ... to apprehend the slime in such a public venue will require a warrant, as the Sleezeball Motel would be considered to be a "Dwelling House" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e-WRRiwII04&NR=1

Once inside the motel, the arrest could be made ... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q7aIehR8dXs&NR=1

So that's how it should have been dealt with ISTP ..... anything less, and those ant-globalization scum will be right back here for the next G8 conference.

After all, we don't want "their kind" 'round here now do we?

At the end of the day, its great to plan on spending some time in the Lazy Boy .... so you stop into the Liquor store on the way home .... and what happens? You stumble onto a scum and bones crook .... here's my proposed social program ... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FaZSW6zW ... re=related

It was the left wing protesters that tore up Toronto, not the cops. I don't understand how you're blaming the cops. If the protesters hadn't rioted, there wouldn't have been any damage, or injuries.

Is Jack Layton claiming now that the cops rioted, and not the "peaceful" protesters?! Sounds like he needs to go for another rub n tug.

IIRC, many of the arrested people were arrested for being (peacefully) in an area where the police had said, prior to the protests, that they could be. But, what do I know? According to the right-wing lickspittles on here, the police are always correct: http://tinyurl.com/3q4jjng

They were not left wing protesters, they were anarchists.

And they wouldn't have tore it up if the police were not ordered to let them.

I think that the dancing protesters were idiots and didnt really have much of a point in what they were protesting,

HOWEVER the over-reaction of the govt' (the police in this case) needs to be kept in check,

too many good men have fought and died so people can be free to express themselves (even if that means demonstrating their poor dancing skills next to a statue and a few old people).

Anyone notice this

Looks a little like this

The Layton Lovers that tore up Toronto went looking for trouble, and sure enough, they found it. I just wish each of them could be sent a bill for the security required because of their planned riot.

The conspiracy theories here are funny. Cops are stupid. They aren't evil geniuses with complicated multi-layered plans and subterfuge. But if you get violent in their face, don't be surprised if they react.

Reminds me of people who bait and torture animals, then are surprised and cry boo-hoo, poor me when the animal takes a swipe at them. You went looking for trouble, and you found it. Take your scrappy little beard and go back to Starbucks.

Wow, the vitriolic partisan rhetoric here is disgusting.

As if people whom are left of centre have no right to express their opinions.

Time to cut down on the ganja. Should make the UFOs go away, too.
It wasn't the left wing protestors that tore up toronto, it was the so called anarchists. And to overcompensate for their lack of action on the first day of rioting they busted absolutely everyone they could on the second day.

Don't give me your left wing right wing bullshit. The powers that be fucked everyone over in Toronto over that. People having to show Id to walk to their residence, people not being allowed access to their places of business because it fell in a 'security zone', secret laws being enacted to further control the security zone, majour highways being closed to civilian traffic for periods of time. For a week in the summer Toronto looked very much like the police state people talk about.

Oh and here's a fun fact, one of the supporters for how the police acted was none other than pinko, commie, godless, homo hugging, pot smoking, muslim loving left wing liberal Dalton McGuinty.

@#$! me, people like you are the worst. You can't look past political affiliation. We all wear either the black hat or the white hat. And apparently because some of us think differently than you we shouldn't be entitled to the same freedoms, and privileges as you.

But what do I know? I'm just another left wing crackpot unworthy of the respect and dignity yourself would demand.

You read my mind, niss. I wasn't going to respond to hz2p because after his/her refusal to think about anything, I came to the conclusion that he's a zit faced 14 year old sitting a basement stirring the pot here for kicks and not worth my time.

Statistically, all 14 year olds have zits from time to time. It'll pass, man. We all had them.

How do you know the expensive stuff was removed on purpose to create bait cars?

If you go through the African Lion Safari, would you take your wipers and antennas off so you can make the monkeys look like assholes, or would you do it to keep damage to a minimum when you know you're going into somewhere your car will be damaged?

I must admit. I went a bit out on a limb there. I've heard from a person who was there and saw that there was no radio in the burning car that we all saw on TV. I've never heard of a marked police car with no radio in it. Maybe they do exist. But what a strange coincidence that such a rare car would be parked in a place where police knew the Black Bloc guys were going. Stranger still that the police were ordered to allow the violence.

People win lotteries too- against incredible odds. So I could be wrong. These are just my opinions, BTW.
