Cool Vid. Thanks for sharing it PJ.
Do you think when they put it down in the rice field they cut the wrong engine?
Not playing armchair quarterback; just seems a little suspect.

Come on PJ. You gotta admit that it brought back some memories of flying questionable aircraft over the jungle!

I like it... amazing to see an aviation show without all the needless over dramatized personal conflicts that are apparently necessary to make a show succeed here!

Wish I would have thought of opening the back door to vent the fuel fumes. That one cost me brain cells. Remember the one I am talking about (I forgot the registration).

Interesting how poor the village in the first segment appears. Yet the Captain is using a cell phone?!?!

I guess it could be a satellite phone, but looks kinda small for that.

Actually Flyalmaguin the land line is a dying breed. Many third world countries have years long waits for land lines. It is much much cheaper to install a cell tower and a microwave relay and then be able to provide everyone with a telephone, IE a mobile.

As 200hr Wonder pointed out flyalmaguin, many parts of the undeveloped or underdeveloped world underwent a technology leap by going from no telephone access to going straight to mobile phones, avoiding land-lines altogether. Where I presently live, although not undeveloped by any stretch of the imagination, I (along with numerous friends) don't even have a traditional land-line phone; relying instead on mobile and VOIP phones rather than dealing with the old telephone mafia. The option of pre-paid GSM or post-paid affordable services has accelerated the penetration.

About 15 years ago the mobile phone was a status symbol. Today even the Third World scrap collector owns one.
