TV Sportscaster, University Law Professor; 2 Term small-town (5400 people) Mayor, 2 term Illinois senator; Alaska Governor (resigned, under an ethics controversy), US. Senator (Elected to the Presidency). Failed Vice-Presidential candidate, successful Presidential candidate. Both believers in a magical sky-god/invisible friend. Can't speak to the CinC of the Alaska Guard, but I suspect that it is a figurehead job that comes with being Governor

It's really a wonder why anyone voted for either of them - but I can see why they gave the edge to Obama...

"Maj. Gen. Craig Campbell, adjutant general of the Alaska National Guard, considers Palin "extremely responsive and smart" and says she is in charge when it comes to in-state services, such as emergencies and natural disasters where the National Guard is the first responder.

But, in an interview with The Associated Press on Sunday, he said he and Palin play no role in national defense activities, even when they involve the Alaska National Guard. The entire operation is under federal control, and the governor is not briefed on situations."

niss - If you think that hz2p is Hedley, you are barking up the wrong tree buddy. I was with him all last weekend for the Smiths Falls Flying Club Fly-In. With all the prep work that needed to be done, there was no time for anything else let alone responding to you or others on this website. He is still banned for the forseable future and does not seem to give a shit about it. Do you not think that hz could stand for Halifax (CYHZ) and 2p for Second Pilot - i.e Halifax-based co-pilot? All you have to do is look at hz2p's postings and see how long he's been on. Hedley's posts were all erased from here. You really need to get over him!

Take it easy there Moose - I don't think anyone is suggesting that hz2p is Hedley; rather that this user seems to be filling a role that Hedley once did on this site.

It's great to hear that he's doing well and isn't bothered by his absence from here. Next time you see him, tell him we I say hello.

Actually I was/am calling him out as hedley. He argues like hedley, acts childish in debates and is vehemently anti left wing. The PMs I receive were written in the same manner same tone and same smug douchebaggery as hedley along with a reference to him and a link to a pic of me on my moped hosted on hedleys site.

If it walks and quacks like a duck.....

And how could I have missed such an obvious reference in hz2p's name? What does moose47 break down to?

I had that figured out a long time ago. Every time Hedley goes a vacation, hz2p shows up. The same love of mathematics and physics, the same knowledge of air regulations, the same distain for TCCA, the same passion for stick and rudder flying, and the same right wing rhetoric.

You don't need time to post on this site. A tech guy like him probably has a device that can do it all in the middle of whatever he is doing. Some of my best posts on here are from the throne... :D

They would if they had been earned honorably. If you talk to many people who served in Swift Boats while Kerry was there, they would tell you he did not deserve any medals and he did not do a full tour of duty in country. He stabbed his fellow sailors in the back after he came home. You call that honor?

Moose, did you even read that article? The entire analysis indicates that the Swift Boat rumours were fabrications... nice try on that one.

Yes I did read it. You should read it again because what is is saying is that the statements may or may not be true. <Quote> "That said, the piece quoted above, in which a number of veterans offer their view of John Kerry, isn't really something that can be evaluated as "true" or "false" ...but the substance of most of these quotes is an expression of opinion, not something objectively classifiable as right or wrong."

I choose to believe what my friends who were there have to say. How can you find fault in that? Kerry took the easy way out and left for a desk job back in the world instead of completing his tour of duty. Then he stabbed his fellow vets in the back with vile testimony at the Winter Soldier Investigation. Funny they never talk about the atrocities committed by the Viet Cong or the North Vietnamese military.
