Medical on the long weekend? YYZ

Post by snow-monkey »

Ok, I'm in a bit of a pickle. Up north in a town that currently doesn't have a C.A.M.E. Land in YYZ on Thursday at 6:00pm. Medical expires July 1st. Would like to have it valid before Monday, July 4th.

Is it possible to get a medical done on Canada Day long weekend?! If not, any Docs that do evenings? Anywhere a few hours drive from YYZ is ok.

Dr. Knipping is close to YYZ - about 10 mins. highway driving. Call him at:

Affinity Health Aviation Medical
Dr. Randy Knipping, B.Sc., MD, CCFP
230 Brown’s Line, Toronto ON M8W 3T4
Tel 416.253.9769 info@affinityhealth.ca

I think I had to book a week in advance though, so you may be SOL. Hopefully not.

Call TC explain your pickle, you may be able to talk them into a 1 or 3 month extension.

Thanks guys. Yeah, I'll try the extension. I've had it approved in the past, but my company made me pay for the extension fee (and the medical) myself... The new job is also not in a remote region anymore, which is the reason I'm flying south. I'd prefer not to be that guy that Shows up to groundschool with an invalid medical, or a faxed-copy of a 90 extention. But my current company has asked me to stay a bit longer to cover a charter... The same company that wouldn't even pay my medical extention last year... Wow, I'm a tool.
