Bendix Color Radar RDS-81 ANT FLT indication

I am getting an intermittent indication of ANT FLT in the bottom right of the radar screen?.... the detection seems to stop and then suddenly comes back and out again randomly.... yesterday did a flight but did not seem to get the problem I was getting the 2 previous days...anyone ever encountered that problem and any idea of the cause and cure.... would be appreciated....

Does it happen in level flight or only when you are banking or pitching? What kinda A/C. Is it interfaced with a VG for stabilization? Has there been any maintenance in the vicinity of the WX equipment latlely? What modes does it happen in MAP, WX etc. Does it self test ok? Have you taken your radome off and checked all your connectors? Does the indication show anything out of the ordinary when you get the Antenna Fault - spoking, etc.

Really, troubleshooting over the internet is like playing pool with a rope.

Their has been maintenance in the vicinity of the radar the day before we had problems for the first time. Plane is a PA31. and it happens in level flight on the WX mode... The screen works normaly then the indication crcunh down the screen in about 1 inches...then seems to stop and may come back to normal after a while....hope this help

Was the maint done on the WX system or around the IN-812A ind or in the radome around the RS-811A Antenna-RT?

I will ask maintenance tomorrow.... they replaced a switch related to the gear warnig system in the nose!

Maintenance said they didn't even go near the radar area in the front....
