Voyageur interview (Dash-7)

Post by toelessjoe »

I've an interview with Voyageur coming up for the Dash-7 over in Africa. Wondering about their interview process (i.e. some questions that I might not be expecting, etc). Anyone out there been through this process before?

thanks.

Have an interview coming up with Voyageur, not specifically for the Dash 7. As you can see, I have dug up an old post. I've done the search and literally only found either Voyageur bashing or "do a search, its been asked before." This is the first interview I have done. I know people who have interviewed before with Voyageur but this was years ago and I am looking for some current information on the questions being asked. If anyone can help, thank you very much in advance.

No technical questions. A lot of behavioral questions.. tell as a time when ____________, what would you do if _________.
They also ask about things like living in shared accommodations and traveling abroad experience.

Good Luck!

There is a reading comprehension check during the interview. It is strange, but they give you a little something to read out loud, like a couple of sentences out of a manual. Then they ask you to close the book and describe what you read in your own words. It's simple and easy, but it threw me off initially.

Show up armed with a few intelligent questions for them as well.

Definitely be ready for the old "name a time when you had conflict in the cockpit" question. Make sure you incorporate CRM into the resolution. You also may hear "where do you see yourself in 5 years?" question.

Be careful not to mention having flown anything larger or faster than the CP. He's a bit insecure in that area. Just pretend to know less than him and his henchman, nod and smile and you should do just fine.
