http://www.interestingjobs.org/interest ... -the-worldWhat do a pole dancer and an airline pilot have in common? Well they both make a living from whizzing around in the air but that’s pretty much where the similarities end. In fact, the connection between the two is that they roughly take home the same pay each year. That may seem surprising to many considering the training, cost and responsibility an airline pilot has to shoulder in order to fly planes...

Imagine an Pole Dancer working past 60?

Re: Best & Worst Paid Jobs in the World
Well, if you figure a "pole dance" can have a shelf life from say 20 to 35 conservatively. Thats 15 years of good money work. If she/he was to wisely live a modest life and invest they're maximum into RRSP's, TFSA, Real estate...etc, she/he would be able to easily retire at 35 to 40 and continue to live a modest life.
it kinda beats the hell out of living off of KD on welfare wages in the middle of butt f##k nowhere for 5 to 10 years, only to realise you have lost touch with reality, friends and any chance at a normal social life once you actually start making enough money to move out of mom's basement.
There is only one reason this industry is such a shit hole... too large a portion of commercial pilots have no self worth or integrity.

There is a small, but definate niche market to address this demand in discerning consumer taste.
