Hi Folks,
I'm wondering if anyone has done the pilottraining.ca Instructor Ground School. If so, would they recommend it ? I'm going to be also working with the Class I, but I wanted some extra material to go over so that I can really get a grasp of the knowledge involved. He's not familiar with the course, but said that it likely wouldnt hurt.
Thanks,

Re: Online Instructor Ground School
The majority of the FI GS is learning to teach ground lessons to your class 1. This cannot be done online (unless you Skype and have a ppt pres or whatever).
However, the stuff that you can study on line or by yourself is the CPL stuff (aerodynamics, etc), flight test standards, CAR's, etc.

Re: Online Instructor Ground School
I didn't use an online course but one book I found extremely helpful was Instructor Prep by Dale Neilsen. It's written really simply and has lots of good (applicable) information in one place.
Re: Online Instructor Ground School
I just used it. I did the ground school in person with my instructor as well. the online one is geared more toward the written test which I passed, while the training in person is more teaching the PGI. It was helpful for preparing for the written which is a lot different then the other tests you would have done, but I wouldn't think it would be a poor substitute for the in person ground school.
So for what you are describing I would recommend it, it worked for me.
