Good deal indeed, but I wonder if you lack a degree/diploma if Jazz would be as far as you could get (assuming your goal is mainline)?

Well I am pretty sure if you get on Jazz you will get priority over an outsider in getting into mainline. And you'll already know the right people to get in.

You would think, but from what I've heard, coming from Jazz does not give you any great advantage to get picked up by AC. In any case, I'm pretty sure Jazz wouldn't smell your shite with 500 multi and 1000 PIC, degree or not.

I went to Seneca for one month, and wouldn't go back there if you paid me. I already had a degree and was able to get my licence privately without the headache of dealing with Seneca's crap.

Hey Caro when did you go to Seneca?

I went in sept 04, got booted out, but I am plannin on returning and facing the challenge. In first semester there was a lot of crap to deal with, especially the bloody electricity labs.

I got kicked out because I didnt make it in calculus and my mechanics mark was below 65%.

I went to seneca in sept '98. I didn't start learning to fly until jan '01 after that. It turned out funny because one of the smarter guys in my class who made it through Seneca's program ended up doing his instructor rating at the same time and school as me. So I really didn't miss out on anything. In fact I fly a navajo part time out of buttonville now, and the seneca jokes are non-stop there. If you have the patience and persistence to stick it through, I commend you. If not, look into other options.
