Email invitation for interview

Post by Fy Nulap Roach »

Hello folks,

Well, I got the email last night inviting me to Toronto for an interview, and giving me options of dates as early as this coming Friday. It indicated that the dates available were first come, first serve, and to reply quickly. I replied immediately to the person indicated in the email (not the sender), and didn't hear back at all today. I understand that things can take a while, but considering one of the dates in question was two days from now, I'm hoping I didn't somehow slip through the cracks. Did anyone else receive the email this week? If so, did you hear back? I certainly don't want to pester them, but at the same time, I'd feel silly not following up if somehow the email didn't go through.

Thanks, and good luck to everyone trying to get on...

Fy Nupal Roach.

Don't worry my friend.

I'm in the exact same situation as you are. I have not received a reply yet and I think it's absolutely normal.

HR are just like you and me and everybody else, they need time to do things.

The reply will comme soon.

Take care,

Alex

Thanks for the reply, Alex. I'm fully aware that this is a long process, and am ready to be quite patient. :) My main concern was just wanting to know that my email had gone through properly... if a few of us haven't heard back, then at least I know it's not likely a problem on my end. Would be a terrible way to miss out on one's dream job!

Best of luck in the interview process...

Fy Nulap Roach.

If it can help... I got the invitation email on Feb 25th (a Friday), got the answer back on the 28th (Monday) by email to confirm interview date on March 2nd (Wednesday). And yes, I made it through :) .

Has anyone been able to postpone an interview?

I got an email this morning, but I'm currently working overseas and I won't be able to attend an interview on any of the dates that they've offered. Is there any chance I'll be able to postpone the invitation about a month?

I'm ecstatic that I got the invitation, but because I just left home yesterday, after having 3 months off... I'm a little frustrated that I can't attend the dates they've selected.

Thanks for the input...

Looks like the Jan '12 class was about 1/3 from the West Coast.
