Captain X,Y & Z or A,B & C (CX)

Post by C208 »

Well it appears I have another book to find.

(InTheGame) Ill get yours back to you soon!

If anyone has seen this book or has much experience with it please let me know. I have been on PPrune for several years and often checked out the Wannabes Forum about Cx. Just like to see some new prospective about the book. I have read that it is good for someone who really has no clue about Hong Kong or Cx for that matter. I believe I am well versed with the life of an Expat and what questions and answers to expect at an interview, also Id like to think I know my stuff, but I fully understand their interview can be quite a gauntlet.

If anyone else on here has an interview coming up with them or has recently had one maybe we can chat about it and help each other out.

I have "Ace the Pilot Tech interview" and "Handling the Big Jets", been in and out of those books for a few years.

Thanks Folks,

R

That book should be available at Aviation World. Years ago I managed to download a copy through torrents, but I no longer have it. It's an older book, so unless it's been updated, the info on CX/salary probably wont be too helpful, but the interview prep questions are.

What is Cx?

Oh, nevermind. Google tells me it's Cathay Pacific. Now the thread makes sense.

One of these days I gotta start a thread with totally useless identifiers and acronyms that no one will understand.

Then and only THEN will my revenge be complete!

MUUUUUAHAHAHAHAHAAAAA!!!!!!!

Useless identifiers and acronyms......obviously you do not posess that one item every professional pilot owns......a secret decoder ring.

Besides, the HR interview people are super impressed when you talk alphabet..Shows you know your stuff and understand how to communicate properly.

BTW.....if you have not been let into the secret place to get the aforementioned secret decoder ring, it is available through a Nigerian friend of mine....and its free. Just pay shipping and handling charge.
Or you can get it at ..ITALKLIKEITEXT.....oh..maybe you need the decoder ring to figure that out....

I had the most up to date book back in 2005 and found a lot of the questions to be very dated( INS, LORAN C, L1011 questions). I went through PPRUNE and wrote down all the questions that people had posted from their experiences and used that as my primary study guide. Spend just as much time on the HR side as you do on tech. Write down the questions and how you would answer them, then have someone ask you the questions and critique you. I found this made all the difference when interview time came.
