Top 100 Companies

Post by Geedub »

The Globe and Mail announced the winners for "Canada's Top 100 Employers For 2012" and shockingly, Nav Canada was not among them. I know, I know. I am as appalled as all the other "Unwashed Heathens" that populate the centres, towers, flight service stations and ATS facilities around the country. How could a company, like Nav Canada, who gives....um....well....who cares....no, wait....that's not it....who respects....nope, not it either...TOLERATE (yep! That's it) their "help"...I mean employees...to an extant like no other ATS provider in this country, not be part of this illustrious group? It is serious oversight!

If you haven't caught on to the amount of sarcasm that is present, please stop reading. If you are a prospective employee, pay heed to this. The prospect of a salary may be appealing, however, no amount of money can make up for the disrespect a group can give to a set of individuals. If you are a member of Nav Canada's management team, keep the good work in regards to "Employee Engagement", I'm sure you'll find a couple of employees who are happy with the company, one of these years.

Well, seeing as you asked. I did, about 10 years ago. Went to another country (actually, worked ATC in a few other countries). But I still have friends working in Canada and I chuckle as I listen to the stories of ineptitude at Nav Canada when ever we get together. As having worked for this company but now controlling in another country, I benefit from having a perspective that allows me to compare. The more I hear and read about the great Nav Canada (the number one ATS provider in the world???), the more I am reminded of the movie Office Space and "Initech" and how it showed a company plagued with bureaucracy and over management. You should watch it.

I would comment, but since my post might be deleted by overzealous moderators, I don't think I will bother. You can consider this my last post on this forum.

I too was confused at the purpose of your post removal. I thought it very clearly answered the question that was asked.
