I did my CAT 1 5 years ago and never received any sort of report. I guess they will just send you a new sticker for the booklet.

thanks for the reply ! So basically, I passed the exam based on what the doctor told me ? He told me I was fine and I will get it in the "mail"...the only thing that confuses me is what the doctor meant by"mail". Does it mean I passed or does it mean I still have to wait until Transport Canada verifies the result ? Thanks !

It means you passed your medical and are fit for a CATI, but you cannot exercise the privelidges until transport canada processes it, charges you $55 (although, for $239 I hope the doc included that in his own fee), has your application sit on their desk for 85 days, and then send the medical (or sticker if you have a booklet already) to you in the mail.

If this is your first time ever doing a medical and you do not have a licence yet, you will receive a paper in the mail from Transport that shows your valid Category 1 Medical. If you do have a licence booklet, then it will be a sticker that you apply in your book. 99.9999% of the time the doctor approves your medical means you pass, however the regional medical director (or whatever the title) puts his or her final stamp on it and could potentially nix it. But if your doctor doesn't put anything unusual on the report he sends in (it's a pretty simple form), then there is no reason for the regional medical director to say otherwise.
