Just wondering how senority is given out at WestJet? Do you draw a number out of a hat during ground school?

So are you saying that the date they offer you a job on Monday and someone else a job on Tuesday that you are senior to that person? Even if you have the same groundschool?

Canada Eh is correct as far as upgrades go, date of hire. If you have guys in the same ground school, they do in fact pull numbers from a hat.

Just checked with crew sched (444-6134) and that was the way bidding was done until November 2004. The new system is based on total random selection as determined by the computer.

If the computer goes down the go back to the alphabet soup.

first day of groundschool they pick out of a hat, then your sim partner comes from that too...ie #1 sims with#2 etc...
