Cheers.
Of course it does, rumours at Jazz are always about them buying someone else. When I was there, I heard we were supposed to buy Canjet, Sunwing, Transat, and some even said we would be buying mainline just like how the swiss regional CrossAir bought out their mainline. Everyday there is another rumour in the crew room.

I cant see an outright purchase of TS by Jazz/Chorus. New paint scheme, lots of growth and expansion, and lots of french pride. I know aviation is a highly unpredictable industry and I cant really use the word "never," but this is rather unlikely.

I didn't like it at first, but after viewing the official pics and vid from TS, I think it's pretty sharp!

Question:

Are most passengers more concerned with:

a) The livery on the airplane, the language in which stuff is written, and other nationalistic issues; or
b) The cost of the seat, convenience of schedule and overall quality of in-flight service?

I don't know about others, but I love flying airlines like Lufthansa and Qatar Airways even though I generally am pro-American minded.

Chris .. where does it say Jazz/Chorus in my post? .. I just said "acquisition" .. by who is yet to be seen. Personally .. I don't think Jazz/Chorus has deep enough pockets to purchase Transat .. but there are other companies that do.

Time will tell ...

I figured it was implied, as all my friends at Jazz have told me its the latest buzz of the crew room, rumours that Jazz/Chorus is buying Transat and will merge the two airlines.

you're so afraid of quebecers cause YOU know you are unilingual poor people not being able to work in both langages in most cases. So I'm not surprised that on a previous post the word Bienvenue was associated to a crappy job.
that better be sarcasm otherwise your reputation of arrogance remains intact! get over yourself cough cough
what is a 'you are unilingual poor people'?

As a marketing designer, I have to say the message this livery sends is " we are simplistic and boring"
As a CEO of any company I would be deeply concerned , unless that's the message you intend to project about Air Transat.Statements of reliabilty, dedication and luxury would be some of the projections that Come to mind as beneficial to Air Transat.
Please change it....... IT DOES NOT WORK. TOO welcoming says desperate for business. We are willing to cut corners.

You deserve better Air Tranat. You are Canada's best structured Air line.

Let's put this in context, its a paint job on a plane! Simple as that. People don't choose their travel based on the paint job on a plane, they choose it based on value and schedule. Air Transat and Group Transat do very well providing the travelling public with what they want. Paint on the side will not effect the bottom line. Just my thought. I ll leep an eye on the loads and see if the paint effects anything and get to everyone.

Yes it will affect the bottom line... IT COST $50 MILLION!!!! Money that could seriuosly effect the yearly bottom line.

I disagree, How you say it will not have an effect on the bottom line, when it cost Air Transat $50 million.

My appologies, I was using my iphone and edited a sentence out. Between the phones auto correct and my chubby fingures, it's a miracle I get anything right while typing on this tiny screen. Not Professional for sure.
My point still was made though.

You are right about the money this will cost, however planes do need to be painted from time to to time, and I meant the bottom line for the traveller, in other words when buying a vacation package they won't care about the paint on the side of the plane. I wrote under the effects of jetlag.

I like it. When I first started the paint jobs on the planes were dull looking. Now they are looking sharp and crisp. Just my thoughts though.
