Does having a past PFO mean no interview?

Post by N8 »

I did an interview during the last round of AC hiring right around when they started handing out the PFO's.
A few months later I received mine in the mail.

Since the most recent hiring wave I haven't heard of anyone with a PFO from the past being called back for another interview. Just wanted to know if anyone one out there has been called in 2010 or 2011 with a PFO on their file?

Short answer. Yes.

Friend of mine was PFO'd and received a second opportunity in the same hiring wave '05-'06.

Keep your file updated.

Hey N8, attach a copy of your PFO letter to your file! They might reconsider there decision...that, and a picture of your license plate! :D

It depends on which letter you received. There is one that has a pretty final tone to it and one that is a little bit more optimistic.

There is more than one type of PFO? Awesome!

It's been so long since I've interviewed that I've resigned myself to getting a PFO and am actually a little disappointed when it doesn't arrive. At this rate I'll be sixty by the time I get an offer. At least I'll fit in.

It's been a while since I opened this topic.
Just wondering if any previous PFOer has been called for an interview lately?

A friend of mine was PFO's a couple of years ago and hired this Summer. It can, and does happen. Good luck to all...

Hey -

Is it possible to elaborate a bit more on the two types of PFOs.

I interviewed recently and was PFO'd by email in less than a week! Sad thing was, I was satisfied with how the interview went. I think it was the Cog test where I blew two of the tests that did me in.

My PFO said I was welcome to reapply in six months from interview date, and to keep my contacts current.

Thanks!

That's the good one. Re-apply again. The other one basically says thanks for your time with no invitation to re-apply.
