One has to really question his decision-making ability. Isn't it pretty obvious that doing that sort of thing will lead to nothing but trouble with authorities? I call the 60-day sentence a fair punishment - it'll give him some time to think.

What street racing is to NHRA, barnstorming is to airshow circuit. What a self-absorbed moron.

So he was promoting Iron Eagle 7? Isn't aviation related offences in Federal jurisdiction? I'm surprise he went to jail under a State law.

Anyone involved in the production of Iron Eagle 7 deserves jail time...

oh man., that was some sweet flying, ah,,,,, I mean,,, ah.....the bastard should be taken out and hung from his heels ( at a height so as not endanger people or property in case of a rope break)....we all agree that this was stupid and dangerous...so good to know that no Canadian pilot would do anything like this......

Not that I am condoning this at all, but what authority does the State of California have over Civil Aviation? They really do think they are their own country...The 48-year old was convicted of violating a rarely used provision of the California Public Utilities Code that is designed to protect the public from careless and reckless pilots.
Geez did I say that....? Or just think it....?

People are so parinoid about everything these days . Although I do think the low passes were uncalled for, 20 years ago people would be cracking beers and watching the free show instead of calling 911. They should be more concerned about their failing economy. My 2 cents!

You got a point..But as an aviator, would be scared to death being in the crowd watching such a Moffo.. Plus my 2 little childs would've been also scared out pretty much.!
No really !! It was insane..

The incident occurred in 2008, so it took some time for the prosecution to go-ahead. I am curious to know if there were any FAA-based/federal sanctions taken against the pilot.
Honestly, 60 days is too light a sentence. Just imagine if this idiot's timing was off by half a second and plowed into the pier. Imagine the carnage. Imagine the backlash against GA and warbirds in the media.

Love the screaming people in the video and the person interviewed that said something like, "What was a military plane doing so close to civilians?" hahahahahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
