apprentichship in foreign country question

Hi.

I am a canadian citizen who graduated TC approved aircraft maintenance program.
I am currently working in ontario as an apprentice.

However, I got an offer from Indonesia as an apprentice. I have about 1 year and a half left until getting license. Can I go to foreign country and work and still get License in Canada using that experience?
I don't think Indonesia has their own regulatory system like TC or FAA.

My boss will be Canadian AME and all aircrafts are canadian made such as Cessna Caravan, PA and stuff.

If you have answer to this question please help me out.

When I was an apprentice almost a decade ago, I was going to work in a foreign country. I called transport canada and asked them about whether it would count as time. The reply then was simply "as long as you are working on a civil registered aircraft". A quick call to TC and you'll have your answer, don't be afraid of them, they are here to help you.

If the maintenance is carried out under a Transport Canada approved AMO, then it will count.
Find out how the Canadian AME is certifying the work.

Or ask your local TC office.

As long as the guy signing your logbook has a Canadian licence and you are working on civil registered aircraft it shouldn't be a problem. I had an M1 licence and was working overseas and had my logbook signed by a guy from Canada so i could get my M2 endorsement and it was accepted without question by TC.
