1/hearst air great people excellent equipment very well maintained/ decent pay / min's req 1000 hrs total 500 float/ beaver exp a definate asset. close to modern ammenities crew housing in summer provided in some circumstances .
2/ north star air /good mgt / good pay / must have min of group 3 ifr and 500 hrs for f/o //they have
mixed turbine fleet amphib floats and opportunity for advancement to pc 12 captain or caravan captain after 1-3yrs from the having no time and starting on the ramp. really the only down side is being a long way from a nite life for a a young single pilot but you are there to fly right ? The more exp captains get a very good rotation , it is the bonus for sticking around and payn your dues
3/attikokan aero the classy old school float operation /with a modern way of respecting its employees / operate 2 beavers. and a 180 i believe.

I'll second that one. Back in Philip's day, life was great. DHColdncold wrote:/attikokan aero the classy old school float operation /with a modern way of respecting its employees / operate 2 beavers. and a 180 i believe.

Does anybody know the e-mail address of Atikokanaero? Seems like they don´t have one on their website.

West Coast is now owned and operated by Harbour Air. So technically the big yellow birdy has swallowed up almost all of the coastal competition (Baxter, WCA, Pacific Wings, Cooper etc.) and is now the only one operating to Vic Harbour!! I'll throw my vote in for Saltspring.. St. is one class act!flyinthebug wrote:Experienced guys:

The other op in Wawa is Watsons Skyways. Good people too!!

Re: Best float operators 2012
Thanks Rowdy! Is Jim Ryan still CP there? He was one of the most approachable and decent CPs I met when I was starting out. I would assume he may still be around. Great company and very accomodating to newbies. Best of luck to all those searching for a job this season! LOTS of them out there!Rowdy wrote:West Coast is now owned and operated by Harbour Air. PS.. I didnt know Harbour absorbed WCA as well? I thought WCA bought out his dad at Baxter? I guess Harbour had deep pockets and bought them too! Thanks for the updates! Hows things with you??
Re: Best float operators 2012
Hey mate! I don't know where Jim Ryan is these days.
Yes, WCA bought baxter.. and pacific wings around the same time. Then HA went and bought WCA! Go figure. Always the case on the coast.
Check your pm's
