Re: Timeair
Citation75. No you are not out to lunch. Southern Frontier which was purchased by KI had a Citation 2. This is probably the aircraft you are talking about.

[citation 75 - No, you are not crazy.. KI did operate a sole Citation II in its charter divison and would sub in for sked flights on occasion. In particular on the YYC-YLL-YOD-YLL-YYC route if there was an issue with the B99 assigned for that sked flight. Husky Oil also chartered the F28's and CV580's around sept I believe every year to take employees of Husky down to YYC for their annual award meetings..ea306 wrote:This thread has turned out to be more informative than how it appeared it might of at the start. Citation75, it is apparent why you asked the question.
I am just wondering: Is it possible your memory of the citation flight was a charter provided by a different company other than Time Air or a sub-charter provided by a third party to Time Air? Operators can and do on occasion sub-out a charter to a different operator if the equipment best suited for the mission is not available to look after the commitment on the day of.
Not many are aware that KI also looked at the Do228 as a replacement for the B99's in the fleet... but did not take it up.
