Cessna 182 Winter Front Questions
Hi there,
I recently purchased a 75 Cessna 182 and am looking into what to use as a winter front for in front of the oil cooler in flight. It is nearly impossible to find ones from Cessna or any aftermarket manufacturer. If anyone has any ideas on the best way to make up a set or if anyone has a spare set for sale I would like to hear about it.
Thanks

Back in the day we used to rig up a simple shield made from aluminum, some guys would just tape them on. I believe Cessna made a cooler cover at one time.

Re: Cessna 182 Winter Front Questions
I have seen the official ones for a 172 before. It's just some plastic covers that screw into the cowling and blocks part of the airflow. Should only be used when its colder than 20F. I remember the guys telling me it costs about $250 from cessna but that was a few years ago now.

Aluminum tape aka 100MPH tape works great. I've even been known to use duct tape in a pinch. Takes 2 minutes to apply and 2 minutes to remove when the weather warms up.
