Watch to the end.

I never knew about the information at the end of the film? Be sure to watch to the end. Incredible four-minute footage of a desperate Spitfire vs. ME-109 dual. You feel like you are there! Amazing computer work blended in with real photography. Also an interesting factual story that many did not know. History is rarely 'over'. Now sit back and strap on your parachute harness ..... it is the Summer of 1940 over the skies of England . Listen to the perfect 'purr' of the Rolls Royce Merlin ... Watch this full screen. It's very well done. Click on the link below: http://player.vimeo.com/video/31202906?autoplay=1The German

Cue epic battle! Over the CGI flying.

Thanks for posting, that was a pretty cool vignette.

Well another day and another notch of my ignorance of the world comes to light. I didn't know Ireland was nuetral during WW II. I presumed they were part of the United Kingdom at that time. Off to do some reading about my kids grandparents.

Northern Ireland was not neutral during the Second World War and yes they still are part of the UK.
(Guess where my relatives are from, near Belfast Northern Ireland LOL)

Southern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland was neutral and is not part of the UK.

Keeping things straight

Just to rain on the parade a little... The 109 didn't have the range to get from their bases in Northern France to anywhere near Ireland at cruise power settings, let alone the 'ball to the wall' settings of combat...

The short range of the Bf 109E prevented it from escorting Luftwaffe bombers past London, leaving the greater part of the British Isles free from enemy attack on training and production sites. This problem was a significant contribution to the Luftwaffe's defeat in the Battle of Britain.

Great CGI, though, and a cool story.
