I have yet to see the movie so my comments may be lacking some credibility. I know alot of you are against the CGI stuff. But you have to remember something here. These vintage aircraft are getting very far and few between. And if there is a story that has to be told about a significant historical event then we are going to have to accept the fact that the CGI is the way of the future. If you had a scene with 100 B-17s flying over Hamburg for example I bet you most would of them be digitally enhanced to show those numbers. Granted some of these actions bits could be a bit "Hollywoodish" and would not happen in real life. However I would rather have a great story told with CGIs then a shitty plot with real flying.

The CGI stuff is just going to get better and better. Look back on movies from the last 20-40 years for example and think of the cheesy FX. However back then we thought it was so cool.

I dunno, having been there I would advise at the very least a commercial pilot's license and some time flying one at certified weights before committing yourself to this plan. They aren't for everyone.
Well, I don't really want to overload any airplanes. I just meant I'd like a nice mid sized single engine plane.

The one I'd really love to "strap on" is the Spit.

Here's another one a little closer to home. Problem is I'd have to loose about 10 ..Ahem..pounds and fly naked... or maybe like 15 pounds with boots on.
