I also heard him say that AC will have to work more efficiently with what they got... i.e. workforce
Re: This guy gets it
Can't say I disagree "FN". Westjetters work more I believe than AC employees. If you're going to match productivity you can be paid the same sure but you have to work as much.Flying Nutcracker wrote:I also heard him say that AC will have to work more efficiently with what they got... i.e. workforce

They do not mention how hard the foreign employees
at Westjet , Sunwing , Canjet, Cargojet are working.
Keep em coming, good for business.

Care to elaborate on what your taking about?mel gibson wrote:They do not mention how hard the foreign employees

You clearly don't have a clue as to how Westjet operates.
Re: This guy gets it
Do newfie's count as foreigners? If so we have a pile
Re: This guy gets it
Last time i flew i couldn't understand why everyone applauded and cheered when we landed.
Don't people realize that an automated landing is safer than a pilot assist landing?
Pilots may think that they're . Yaeger, but they're not.
As an autoworker i do more value added work before my first break than an AC Pilot does
in an entire shift.
Air Traffic Flight Control could be fully automated and no one would ever know the difference.

Hey mel gibson, by using the term 'foreign employees', does that mean you going off on another Hollywood - Jewish conspiracy rant again? lol
If not, as far as WJ goes, we have no foreign employees. We do have a sub-contractor (Thomas Cook) who happens to have some British subjects as employees.
Hope that helps!

They(Newfies) have the ole EPA genes, KAG. When the gales of November come slashing in YYT with the 50+ knotters blasting over the south side hills, the lads/lassies from the dark island just grin.........
Plus they can show you a good time on George Street.

Yes, and also from The Holy Grail: "Go away, or I will taunt you a second time...wiper of other people's bottoms!"
Look guys, it is up to ACPA to secure scope. Honestly: @#$! your pension. It's done this time, or the next, or the next. If you give away flying to protect it, you will only screw yourselves and every single pilot behind you. The time has come to stand up for your flying. Over the last 12 years, North America has been a giant disgusting experiment on how the best to secure a corporate bonus through short-term, insubstantial crew-cost reductions.
Do not let it happen again! History (and I'm sure a bunch of disgruntled mishandled juniors-to-you) will not forget. If you don't take a firm stand now, anything that comes your way in retribution will be more than justified.

Machinists have Tentative Deal with Air Canada!
Fri, 10/02/2012 - 19:49 — Bill
Toronto, ON – The International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers, representing Technical Maintenance and Operation Support workers, have reached a tentative agreement with Air Canada.
“This agreement represents a huge amount of hard work by our bargaining team under extremely trying circumstances,” explained IAM District Lodge 140 President and General Chairperson . Atkinson. “The Committee had to bargain hard for everything they got, the final part of the process was completed under Conciliation. Now it’s up to the membership, they will make the final decision to either accept or reject the tentative agreement at upcoming ratification meetings.”
The proposed four-year agreement provides wage and premium increases, improved benefits and secures a Defined Benefit Pension Fund for the members.
This has yet to be ratified, and all the details of the agreement are not posted on the IAMAW website.

Re: This guy gets it
That is clever wording used with all the groups because it fails to mention that new hires from that point on are excluded. We'll see if that is the case with the machinists.Cirocu wrote:The proposed four-year agreement provides wage and premium increases, improved benefits and secures a Defined Benefit Pension Fund for the members.
