Planes and cars with the same names

Post by Louis »

Hi,

I'm wondering what cars and planes out there have the same "model name", and came up with the following three:

Saab Viggen - Saab 9-3 Viggen
Cessna Skyhawk - Buick Skyhawk
Douglas Dakota - Dodge Dakota

Any others?

Louis

Hi there, you must be new...

And let's not forget our legendary Supermarine Spitfire and Triumph Spitfire..both of which I plan on adding to my garage someday...I think the triumph may be the most realistic.

Hi there Deskgo - no not new. You might want to get your head out of the sand and look into Cessna's new Citation jet - yes, it's called a Mustang. I'm familiar with the WWII version too. It's okay, I'll let this one go because you have a bag on your head.

Easy tiger...I am aware of Cessna's entrance to the VLJ scene...just thought it was peculiar you didn't mention North American's wonderful aircraft.

Chevy's Legendary Corvette and Aerospatiale's not-so legendary Corvette (I think they made less than 50)

In case you're curious what they look like
http://www.airliners.net/search/photo.s ... aftsearch=

Lincoln car and the Avro's mod of the Lancaster,
Pontiac Firefly and slingsby firefly
OV-10 Bronco, and Ford's Bronco
also come to mind.
