Air Tindi Information
Can anyone please shed any light on working conditions and pay at Air Tindi. Thanks in advance.
Re: Air Tindi Information
Depends are you looking for a ground job or direct entry captain ?
Either way it's one of the best company to work for at the moment.

The direct entry Captain position is what I've applied for actually. Thanks for the info.

Re: Air Tindi Information
Tindi is a decent place to work. Op's manager & CP's are top notch. First downside that comes to mind is the accommodation situation in Yellowknife.... It's hard to find a place, & expensive once you do.
Good Luck

Re: Air Tindi Information
Kingair captains are on 2 weeks on 2 weeks off rotation and afaik accomodation is provided for by air tindi during the 2 weeks on in Yellowknife.

Re: Air Tindi Information
Well sounds as if the King Air guys are on a good wicket. What about the Twin Otter and Dash pilots? Do they work on any sort of rotation as well? I guess it's obvious which AC I applied for!
And thanks very much for the info.

Re: Air Tindi Information
All the aircraft have rotation schedules for ACs, with accom provided in ZF. That said, be very wary as there is a new President who doesn't believe in paying a decent wage//expect to have to fight for the same salary that everyone else gets!
Other stuff going on, but will leave it at that.

Re: Air Tindi Information
There are Twin Otter, King Air and Dash 7 captains on rotations. Most rotations are 3 and 3, some are 2 and 2.
However, most of the crews(including King Air captains) are not on a rotation and live in Yellowknife. That being said times are changing and we are expanding so rotations are becoming more common.

Re: Air Tindi Information
Since we seem to have a couple of Tindi's guys here, any interviewing going on if not all done already ??
If not, any update ??
Talking about expansion, a 4th dash 7 was acquired end of 2011, anything else in the cards ??
Tks!

Re: Air Tindi Information
I flew the Dash 7 for Air BC about a hundred years ago. I wonder if that would make a difference. I don't want to fly it again but if it helped get the job I suppose it would be OK.

Re: Air Tindi Information
Has Tindi hired any FOs to work rotationally, or has it just been captains so far?

Re: Air Tindi Information
If you are a f/o to capt quick upgrade, maybe... otherwise, I don't think so. There are plenty of pilots working ramp/dispatch, etc up there waiting for an f/o position.
