Plane Crash Into Lake Near Montreal

Update to the article says the search for a possibly downed plane has been called off. If this is in fact a false alarm, I'm glad it is just that.

Police checked with the closest military base, CFB Trenton in Ontario. Trenton's radar readings showed a plane did fly close to the surface of the lake, but it did not crash.

Officials say firefighters from Montreal, Vaudreuil-Dorion and Pointe-au-Calumet, Que., took part in the search along with a helicopter from CFB Trenton.
