You could read the mine reports about Kinross taking a 2 billion write down on this mine due paying way to much when they bough it from Red Back a few yrs ago. Id hope this wouldnt effect the 1900s but stranger things have happened. I think the 1900s are operating out of Las Palmas but dont think the 90 could do the same. Maybe its for a oil contract as they are drilling on some concessions. Nouakchott is liveable if you have a house and guard, driver etc , same as in most other African countries. The ability to speak French is a BIG PLUS, you need it to get into the airport every flight and every day is different, meaning if you don't have a airport pass you need to hand in your passport and wait, and wait and wait before you get in. But the operation should have a local man to do this for you, do they, be sure to ask. Nouakchott is dirt poor, side streets dirt and donkeys carts , sort of like Mexico in a way.
Excellent, thanks, I'll ask if I get the chance. Incidentally, you are correct about it being kinross. Also, Execaire has a Citation based in Las Palmas and 2 1900s based in Nouakchott.
I'm curious why they need a c90 now. Very small! |
