ANR-Style Headsets

Post by Dominic220 »

Quick query to anyone who has flown them - regarding Cessna 337's - Should I be finding an ANR-style headset, or is my std-issue (passive) Sennheiser going to save my ears?

I sucked it up and bought a noise cancelling headset when I was flying a 185 over a decade ago and I still have it. You only have one set of ear drums, why not look after them. Same goes for your eyes, invest in a good pair of shades too. Never understood the guys who invested 40-50 grand in a pilots license but were too cheap to buy a good headset. My two cents...

Telex Stratus 50D is kick-ass

so are custom molded earplugs and they are a lot less than a pair of headphones
