That man is a crook. Raking in big bucks while providing third world accommodations. Stay the hell away!

I've dealt with Kenn at my last job (commuting into YYZ). I've had no ill dealings with him, and i think it was a pretty fair deal.
BTW, if you wanted to, nothing would stop you (palm90) from setting up your own crashpad network, and charging a less crookish price.

IMHO, it was a great service for us commuters, and I didn't mind paying $160/ month for a bed in a furnished crashpad, including utilities & internet, 10 mis from Pearson. (sorry, I don't have his contact info anymore...).
Best of luck Yannick.

That is completely inaccurate. I stayed in one of Ken's places for four years and found it to be excellent value. He makes a couple of hundred dollars per month after paying for the rent, cable, phone, internet, furniture, microwaves, etc. That's not much when you consider the accounting it requires, the tracking and distribution of keys etc, etc. Plus, if you have a bed empty for a month or two, you're breaking even or losing money - I considered starting up a crashpad and decided it wasn't worth the hassle.

I have never commuted so have not required Ken's services but a more honest individual you will not find and I have heard nothing but good from others. You have named and defamed Ken. What is your real name?

Well, I did live in one of his cesspools. I stand by what I said.

..and not once did I name him. Sorry the truth hurts Ken.

If the place was a cesspool it's because you and the others staying there didn't clean it - try picking up a broom once in a while. Maid service and cleaning is specifically not included - exactly like most crashpads I've stayed in. Your post has told us more about your personal habits than anything about the place you stayed. There are plenty of places to stay in 220-250 dollar range that include maid service if you don't have the inclination to clean up after yourself.
