You guys are just too good.

Okay, here is a PART from an aircraft. Can you identify what part it is and what aircraft it is from?

Sorry, its not a Constellation part.

I recognized the part from from model aircraft kits I built over the years of a very popular WWII aircraft.

Does this help?

Well it is built by North American and it's not a nosewheel aircraft. Didn't you guys build models of your favorite planes?

Great looking model Barney. You should put the build on Swanny's. That's where I hang around, I did a blow-by-blow of those two 1:24 Beavers I built for HS748's dad on that site. Currently throwing together a PBY over there.

Thanks ., I'll pass that along. That shot was a Royal Danish AF -5A. I though it may have been a one-off, but in another picture there was a -6A in the background and it had the same setup.

G'day

These Grumman Goblins belong to No. 118 (F) Squadron based at R.C.A.F. Station Rockcliffe, Ontario. The photo was taken in the spring of 1941. The squadron moved to Dartmouth, Nova Scotia on the 16th of July, 1941 becoming part of Eastern Air Command. They were the east coast's first line of air defence for a period of time.

Incidentally, the wing tip belongs to a Harvard Mk. II.

Cheers...Chris
