If and when they become available, would some kind soul post pay rates for the newmachine? Of possibly even greater interest would be what bases or ports would be on offer from the get go.

For those of you who know Westjet culture from the inside, would you expect this kind of information to be promulgated generally or would one need to discover it during an interview?

Unfortunately you're question won't be answered for a long time. And if it is answered it will probably only be vague, just due to corporate security. You're gonna need a buddy who takes the leap to show you that info if you want specifics, you won't see it here.

Hi,
All this information will be available mid summer for the public I’m guessing.
Maybe sooner. I’ve only seen proposed pay rates. This will be solidified before interviewing begins in Q4.
It will be Toronto and Calgary for sure. The dash operation will be too small to support PORTS.

Cheers!

As a Q400 rated Pilot living in YYC I could not be more excited at the possibility to join WJA Regional.

Any idea if non type rated pilot will be considered from the start too, or will it be Q400 pilots for first year or so?
Cheers

Once the 5000 hr+ seats are filled, will there be a chance for lower time guys to get on alike Jazz hiring scheme? Or are you guys sticking to the more high time guys alike WestJet Mainline?

Thanks ! 8)

A question for DaveP, will the Qguys come out of the westjet pool, or will it be a side operation ala the old AC connector setup?

Hi Guys,
It's too early for the salary... It hasn't been set yet but it is being worked on as we read!
I have seen proposals and it's not bad.

As for the hiring pool, we will have 2 sets of hiring lines running. All people currently in the WJ pool stay there. Interviewing for the Dash wont start until the late fall. All this hiring will be done by our current WJ hiring team.

Loopa, yes after roughly 2 - 21/2 years we will start to look at lower time guys for fo positions.
I believe the current plan is to hire and train you as a captain due to the aggressive delivery schedule.

Pretty exciting and its going to be a well funded, fun place to work for sure.

Dave.

Yeah its good to know that it will be Captains to start and for a while just so those of us forward looking guys know what to expect for hiring in 6months to a year. Lots of guys jumping ship all over our industry now.

I know where I want to be, but I don't want it to destroy me in the waiting. All good things come in time.

DaveP,

Will there be a separate job posting on the westjet careers section for the Q400?

Just wanted some heads up on where to keep my eyes peeled!

Thanks in advance.

Any details about the maintenance side of things? Will there be specific Q400 maintenance or will current staff be getting endorsed?
