Buffalo Airways CL215 FO advertisement.

Post by bananaskins »

I see Buffalo have posted a job opening for a CL 215 FO position.

Has anyone got the specifications on this job? ie: Hows the salary? Is there the prospect of eventually upgrading on the 215 in the next season or so? Is there any chance of moving to other Buffalo equipment in the off-season?

Thanks.

I doubt it. If you get a really busy season, you'll fly ~ 200 hours, and most places will probably like to see 800 or 1000 on type before an upgrade.

I'm sure that pay is adequate for the amount of time that you will be working.

Most of us do it for the lifestyle, though, not the paycheque.

BananaS, I wouldn't try and plan a path through the seats in a CL...some guys have made the switch in as little as 3 years while others have taken more than 12...it can be about your attitude, your abilities, your seniority number, expansion or retirements, or simply put " the Right seat at the right time!"
