Are you confusing the fact that Harbour Air just bought Whistler Air? Also I would say Rowdy would be a pretty reliable source on this one...

Yes I heard about the Whistler Air deal. I t seems that Harbour Air are in aquisition mode what with West Coast, then WhisterAir, and various Euro ventures etc. Rowdy also may well be a reliable source, however it fits with their modus operendi and it may well they are keeping a lid on it. I do know that Chris Tof Air's owner entertained offers in the past I, worked for him when it happened.

So, is this is an announcement or a question?

Its not my place to make announcements like that, you perhaps should reread post's I simply put forward a question plain and simple.

I thought that initially. Then someone answered the question and you told them they didn't "really know". Then it stopped looking like a question.

"heard this from a "reliable" source." Sounds like you're telling us you already know the answer to your question.

There are some bright minds at the top end of HA. They acquired WCA for a fair price and most importantly for the victoria dock space, which effectively blocked anyone else from operating in and out of the harbour. It also brought them the twins, which allowed a lot of the government officials to be flown. They purhcased whistler air for the dockspace and access to Green lake.. and before the VHFC came along, they had intention of locking up Vancouver harbour to block any other competitors as well. All of those purchases had specific purposes. They already service all of the same places tofino does, excluding Silva Bay (not a huge money maker) so I don't see the reasoning behind it.

As far as that rumour goes, maybe you're thinking of another south coast seaplane operator, whose owner used to work for HA and who's now using their docks as well. Food for thought.

You know what they say, if you haven't heard a rumour by noon, start one! Hmm.. maybe next you'll try to tell me that Randy is putting his Beech 18 in the water to service PatBay, Victoria and Seattle! :roll eyes:
