Anyone on here ever used an airplane to fly over populated areas to detect leaks in cable television networks or similar type work? What companies are into that type of work and what aircraft do they find works best?

Rogers does or has done it. They used a Toronto Airways 172 with a tail boom. Pay wasn't too bad.

I was involved with that a few times, plus Industry Canada Inspectors on the ground .... leakage was on the Arrival freq and caused "issues."

A dedicated aircraft for that RDF work would be super-interesting work as far as I'm concerned.
