I'm about 80% sure that I will be going. I know Blakey went a few years ago.

Re: Norseman Festival
If I'm not flying up north, yeah...
Visit the grand kids, go to Green's and grumble about "Kids nowadays...!"
Drink beer, track down Old Dad, the Silver Fox, and Stormin' Norman...
Might even look at Nordynes!

I had an apartment on Howie Bay a couple years ago, and wouldnt miss it! JC, ill be lookin up "stormin Norman" as well. He taught me how to fly a 206 on floats many moons ago and still one of the best -3 drivers out there. YRL is always a good time...and ya, there will be a few Norsemen flying around too

Re: Norseman Festival
Anybody have good recommendations on where to stay, where to eat, and where to rub elbows with chief pilots? Heard the Lakeview Restaurant might be promising. Hoping to get my networking on!

Re: Norseman Festival
Finding a place to stay in Red Lake can be tricky, especially during Norseman days. You can try the Norseman inn or Balmer Hotel in Balmertown. They're just finishing up building a Hotel near the new Tim Hortons it's going to be a Super 8 I believe, but it won't be ready for Norseman days this year. As for rubbing elbows, the Lakeview is a good start, there's always the pilot social at the Legion, and of course the beer tent during the festival.
