high flying tightrope act

Post by crazy_aviator »

Wasnt able to watch the Niagara falls tightrope act, but later saw a short video ( without the action) and it shows a safety cable attached to the main cable,,,walker falls= rescued 2 hrs later, = no consequence. Please tell me that im getting tired of the reality programs and need to go back to the 1950s

I heard on the radio they would not give him a permit if he did not wear a safety line. It wasn't his choice.

As a sponsor of the event ABC forced it upon him. They didn't want a live feed of someone falling to their death on their network. As AEROBAT said, it wasn't his choice.

I was waiting for RedBull to jump in and step it up. Flying motorcycles, planes, maybe a fire train of death. Kinda boring. WIth the safety harness and all

Snore. Publicity + American lawyers = Boring events.

There's a guy doing something for the love of it, not the resulting paycheque. Thinner rope, no balance bar, and way more exposure.
