high flying tightrope act

Wasnt able to watch the Niagara falls tightrope act, but later saw a short video ( without the action) and it shows a safety cable attached to the main cable,,,walker falls= rescued 2 hrs later, = no consequence. Please tell me that im getting tired of the reality programs and need to go back to the 1950s

As a sponsor of the event ABC forced it upon him. They didn't want a live feed of someone falling to their death on their network. As AEROBAT said, it wasn't his choice.

There's a guy doing something for the love of it, not the resulting paycheque. Thinner rope, no balance bar, and way more exposure.
