Multiple endorsement premium

Post by bombardierfixer »

Looking for some info on multiple endorsements. If you have multiple endorsements that you use on a daily basis, I'm thinking Jazz, or AC AME's do you guys get paid a premium for multiple endorsements? I know that it was in the AC tentative agreement that was turned down but does anyone else get the premium? If you do could you tell me how much and point me in the right direction for some supporting documentation. Thanks in advance.

At Jazz it doesn't matter whether you have 1 or 5 endorsements. You get ACA scale. Where I worked before, you would get ACA premium on your first endorsement and then 0.50$ for every other up to a maximum of four.

I don't have supporting docs though, but the Jazz CBA is on the public domain.

Hi BF,

As a WJ AME I would MUCH prefer being dual endorsed and deal with the Q400 just like we do do with the NG's. What I don't want to see is different AME's paid less than us dealing with the Q's. Since that is what WJ currently is planning, PLEASE do not ask for more for being dual endorsed.

That would be the best scenario giving WJ AME'S the second endorsement better not to have the conflict of you guys are paid more then us and so on hopefully they think about this in the long term .... postings for AME'S will be posted soon as well

Thanks to those who have responded so far. Culver, get in touch with your AME association rep and let them know what you think. In YYC I'm polling the guys to see where their heads are at. We are not going to sacrifice people for the sake of a couple of dollars so don't worry. But on the other hand you don't know until you ask, and I want to build a case that allows us to ask. This thing is still a long way from being done, get in touch with your reps.

AC is same as Jazz. ACA wage and by level. LAT 1,2,3,4...i forget how many levels there are. So no premium. On the other hand. I have worked for this regional airline and it had the premium per endorsement thing going on. I forget how much it exactly was....but i think for every endorsement you have it is a 1 dollar raise.

Kind of want to see what is going to happen though. WJ starting up their Q400 fleet. AC with their low cost carrier. It'll be interesting to see what the outcome would be. But this is off topic. Another time then. Cheers!

The premium at AC is $30 a month per active endorsement (First endorsement does not count). Not sure if it was raised in the new CBA and by how much, but I'd imagine it's still a joke.

In the new Collective Agreement (just imposed on us at Air Canada), the premium is $100 per month per endorsement, and the first endorsement doesn't count.

EDIT: It's actually only $90 per month.

200.91 per month for each transport category. Adds up when you factor in a few types.

P.S. none are free!!!
