Float plane engine oil change on a fast flowing river
I'd say the Stewart River at Mayo YT in summer is fast flowing.
Your Otter is at the dock and due for an oil change so you pull the drain plug and let it drain into the fast flowing water and its gone. My guess is it's not done this way anymore.

Hard to believe common sense is so rare..Everybody knows you wait until after dark to do this, as no pollution occurs during the night hours.
This is one of those things that I truely find offensive and where I would not mind my own business if I saw it happening.
Huge fines for this...huge....good to get it on video tape.

I always have a little dish-soap around when I'm doing an oil change on a floatplane. You can never be careful enough these days and one or two drips looks like Exxon Valdez.

I witnessed this 35 or closer to 40 yrs ago and even then couldn't believe the guy was going it. I only saw it once but have never forgot it.
