I have for sale a canon EF-S 55-250mm f/4-5.6 IS lens. Brand new, box never opened. Was asking $300, but would take $275. Shipping included within Canada or pickup near YWG. Great for airplane shots. I already have one, so I'm selling this one. Send me a PM if interested.
Item sold.

Here's a couple sample pictures anyway:

My Dad gave me his Pentax K1000 and I got the itch to shoot some film again.

What do you guys think? I love the grain, but the blemishes and scratches make me sad :(

I like 92750003, niss, the red is great. Shooting film is great, I should try it again. My film camera is just gathering dust these days, it's becoming a lost art!

Hey Niss, what film are you shooting with in the Pentax? I've got some fuji 200 and for B&W I've got some ilford delta 400.. which so far has been fantastic. I am sans scanner at the moment or I'd post some up. Had to fix a light leak on my AE-1.. but now she's shootin' sharp again ;)

Also have some new gear showing up this week! I've seriously been lacking in the photo department as of late. Time to remedy that. Wheres STL these days too? Keep posting guys and gals! Love seeing what everyone else is up to. Doesnt matter where, what its of or what you're shootin' with. Show it off :)

For my colours I have been using Blacks (Fuji) 400, and for my B&W I have been using Kodak Tmax and Ilford HS5 IIRC.

Some B&W photos (even airplanes!)

^ I should have backed up and gotten the whole cowl in frame, but it was a static display and I think if I did I would have gotten people or some other crap in the way.

For these I had to send them out to get processed. Does anyone have a developer tank, reel, etc they want to sell to a fellow shutterbug/aviator real cheap? I'll trade you a whole case of KD.

Nice work buddy. Just a heads up, but Ilford makes a product (XP2) thats B&W and can be developed in the standard (read local colour) machines and processes. I picked some up out west from London Drugs and Shot two rolls.. Loved the way they turned out. When I get my scanner back I'll pop a couple of them up. In the interim.. I was playing with one of my most favorite lenses the other night...

Can anyone guess what it is? Without cheating and snagging the exif data?

Some kind of macro lens? Hard to say without knowing what camera you carry! ;)

Here are a few I took recently...

On a walk with my dog! I like the motion in this one, too bad I was kind of facing the sun and was hard to get more definition in the dog...

At a Sigur Rós gig in Toronto, I like the light on the drummer, creating a silhouette, wish the singer in the red spotlight was a bit clearer.

A bakeapple, or cloudberry, delicious little fruit. Was rainy and did my best at a macro shot with my point and shoot camera. Anyone ever taste it?

Yes! A coworker made some delicous cloudberry jam last year and it didn't last very long!

My guess, just for fun: Canon EF 180mm f/3.5 L.

Nice coworker! Most people who didn't grow up eating bakeapples don't usually like it when they taste. It's my fave little fruit.

I tried it when I was living in YYR... it's a "different" flavour for sure. I'd definitely try it again though.

Here's my contribution to the Photo Thread. Been awhile since I have and recently attended the Air Show in YSU.

You were close.. it was a macro.. the insanely sharp 100f2.8L IS macro. One of the best lenses I've shot with.

Here are a few from another of my favoured pieces of kit. The lensbaby! As promised..

Btw, Thanks a bunch for starting this thread STL.
Hey first time poster, I've done quite a bit of photography and video as well. I'm learning how to fly now over at Algonquin College.

Tripods are pretty key for alot of photos. The only time you can really get away with not using one is if your shutter is over 1/60. Maybe higher depending what you're shooting. But yeah, a higher f/stop and always try to get a low ISO. Occasionally, and sometimes you'll have no choice, to raise the ISO. I'd say try not to go over 2000. Depending on the camera you have of course. For this photo though you could not use a tripod because of the amount of light coming to the sensor.

Cheers

That looks a lot like a 50mm 1.4/1.8... possibly shooting with an ND2 filter... or up around 6400/8000 shutter...?

Awesome shots BTW. Are you on Flickr?
