Here's an interesting thought. Maybe your aircraft has depreciated in value.
I've been looking and talking with owners who bought their planes in the 70's and 80's. They paid 30-40K for their plane. They heard that aircraft appreciate in value. They're now asking 50-60K with run out engines.
So now I put a new engine in and I have a 70-80K airplane with old radios and tired paint and interior. Doesn't make financial sense.
When an airplane doesn't sell?

Re: When an airplane doesn't sell?
I sold my last aircraft in less than 90 days for full asking price and recently purchased another aircraft from the USA. I've also owned bought sold and maintained over 30 aircraft in my past so I do have some idea what to look for but no question, it is much harder to sell airplanes today that it used to be. If your not price competitive with the USA market then your going to have a tough time selling. Keep in mind price competitive means that you include the costs that Joe Blow would need to spend to import a US aircraft, ie: Tax,import CofA and delivery costs. And CS is right, if you don't know exactly what your doing when buying down south you could really face a shit storm when you go through the import so even thought the prices are attractive make sure to do your homework on what actual end costs will be landed here in Canada with all the paper work done and the bills paid.
