Job Description:
To perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on aircraft listed in the Arctic Sunwest Charters AMO. To carry out certification of the aircraft for flight (maintenance release).

Duties:
- Conduct maintenance on aircraft or aircraft components (floats, skis, etc) as directed by the Crew Chief
- Perform all maintenance activities IAW the applicable standards of airworthiness
-Ensure all paperwork for assigned tasks is complete and accurate before handing back to Crew Chief
-Ensure all maintenance alerts and memos are read, understood and complied with
-Identify possible SDR situations and report to Crew Chief
-Troubleshoot faulty systems to determine a course of rectification
-Tow aircraft if trained and authorized to do so
-Perform engine runs as required if trained and authorized to do so
-Raise job cards using the RAAS system
-Carry out the applicable maintenance release of an aircraft as authorized to do so by their individual ACA
-Hangar clean up
-Travel with an aircraft and apprentice / mechanic if it is assigned away from base for an extended period of time as required
-Assist with sheet metal / avionics repairs as needed
-Provide mentorship to apprentices and mechanics
Qualifications: The successful candidate must have the following skills & abilities.
-Possess Transport Canada AME M License and the ability to hold ACA
-Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skill
-Strong observational, decision-making and time management skills
-Previous experience working on King Air B100 or 99, DHC-2, DHC-6, DHC-8, or DHC-5 aircraft would be an asset
-Mentor and foster apprentices towards successfully attaining an AME license and a positive and goal oriented working culture
-The flexibility to work shifts including afternoons and weekends
