Red lights in the night sky Sept. 8
Don't get me wrong, I am probably among the biggest skeptics when it comes to encounters with other forms of life, but tonight in Milton, ON I saw 8-10 red lights under some form of controlled flight move about and form up.
I cannot find any notams to prove that I am not going insane, does anyone know something about this?

I've seen a lot of NOTAMS recently mentioning small UAVs. Somewhere around Acton a week or so ago, Reid's field yesterday I think.

Maybe a hooker convention in town??? Or maybe a laser beam convention practising for the Toronto International Airport.

Re: Red lights in the night sky Sept. 8
It was either drones, solar flares, or Niburu (Gliese581)...take your pick.
I too am skeptical to say the least, but I have also seen some things in the night sky over the last year or so that are quite ummmm "unexplainable". A 2nd sun (It was not a sundog) there was actually another star set far behind the sun.
I have a Magnacon Skyhawk telescope that I drag outside once a week and some of the things ive viewed simply do not belong where they are over the past year! People in the know are blaming the 11 yr solar cycle and pole reversal for all these weird things going on. I dont see how solar flares (despite their enormous power) are creating an optic of a 10th planet? I see it, others are seeing it...so who knows?
In all seriousness google Niburu/ Gliese581 and do a bit of research. Its interesting if nothing else.

ftb, if you believe Niribu, then you believe the world will end this year.
Please don't tell me you believe that crap....

I believe there is a 10th planet in our solar system. That theory is shared by many people alot smarter than I.lilflyboy262 wrote:ftb, if you believe Niribu, then you believe the world will end this year.

I do not believe in the Mayan calander, end of the world BS no.
Niburu is just another name for Planet X, Gliese581, and a few other names...and even NASA has supported the theory of it being a 10th planet and not just a brown dwarf star.
I also enjoy Conspiracy Theory with Jesse Ventura

I don't believe in the Mayan calendar either. The Sears wish book came out about a month ago so we're good at least till the 25th.
Re: Red lights in the night sky Sept. 8
I don't buy into much of this stuff, though I find the idea exciting (too much Star Trek) but I did hear from a group of family and friends who saw what you are describing (red lights moving around, stationary and fast moving) over the Sundre, Ab (Burntstick Lake to be specific) area last week, though I forget which night they said it happened. Apparently a couple of those watching are now full fledged 'believers', in addition to the one who was already a full blown ufo nut. They are sending high def photo's/videos to the local universities to see what they make of it. Haven't heard anything in the media at all.
As for me, I'll buy just about anything other than extraterrestrial beings...

Re: Red lights in the night sky Sept. 8
You're saying they were moving about, and then form up? How fast? Is it possible they were those Chinese Lanterns lots of people are getting into for celebrations?

Re: Red lights in the night sky Sept. 8
There are, indeed, several large bodies in our solar system aside from the eight planets, including Eris. This is a dwarf planet with a mass 27% greater than that of Pluto, and the discovery of which led to the downgrade of Pluto to the status of dwarf planet. However, these planetoids have actually been discovered, and have solid scientific evidence to prove it. They follow regular orbits far beyond Pluto, and pose no risk to the Earth. Nibiru, however, was created by Nancy Lieder, who believes she communicates with extra-terrestrials, and has absolutely no scientific expertise at all. The existence of this planet has no scientific foundation and hasn't received the support of NASA (unless you're conflating Nibiru with Eris). Furthermore, there have been no gravitational disturbances noted in other planets, and even Pluto is too far to be seen with the naked eye; Eris is still further, and couldn't possibly be the source of unusual lights. Any object of sufficient brightness to be seen without the aid of a telescope would be large enough to disturb the orbits of some of the planets. If you have contradictory information from a reputable peer-reviewed astronomical journal, please post sources.
No doubt. "I" is the subject, "me" is the object, thus this sentence should read "That theory is shared by many people a lot smarter than me".flyinthebug wrote:That theory is shared by many people alot smarter than I.

You can find approximately 14 other peer reviewed journal articles on a 10th planet here...Diadem wrote:If you have contradictory information from a reputable peer-reviewed astronomical journal, please post sources.

The above is just one example.
Attached to the video link below there is a link to the article written by NASA in regards to 2003UB313 aka Niburu aka Gliese581. The article is cited. There are also several dozen peer reviewed articles that you can search on the internet.
You and I may be talking about the same thing? Maybe after your description of the lady who named it Niburu, I should start referring to it as 2003UB313...see video below.

and another NASA article...

I didnt realize my lack of proper grammar and punctuation was any part of this thread? Thank you for the english lesson though.flyinthebug wrote:That theory is shared by many people alot smarter than I.[/quote="Diadem"] No doubt. Enjoy the video and the read.
PS...This new planet`s size is estimated at 37% larger than Pluto. They can only estimate based on the amount of light that is being reflected due to its sheer distance from the sun.

Re: Red lights in the night sky Sept. 8
Everything you linked seems to be referring to Eris. This isn't news. Indeed, several dwarf planets in the outer solar system have been discovered in the last few years, and the down-grading of Pluto to that status was a huge controversy which was dealt with in 2009. Nibiru is an entirely different matter; it's an utter fabrication, and no evidence of any planet which risks the destruction of the Earth has ever been found. The dwarf planets which have been discovered are far beyond the limits of human vision, and are in a regular orbit far beyond that of Pluto.
Re: Red lights in the night sky Sept. 8
I'm not worried. As long as the other planets or suns or whatever do not crash into Earth , or blow up, within the next 60 years I think the rest of my lift will be fine.

Re: Red lights in the night sky Sept. 8
Stand by while I confirm Diadem hasn't misplaced the past-participle within the passive voice, formulaic subjuctive wording structure of his/her/their post.
Re: Red lights in the night sky Sept. 8
Some years ago, we had a lot of this going on down here in the Hudson River Valley. It was a group of ultralight pilots who would go up at night with lights on their planes, and they were good enough at formating--they must have practiced in the daytime--that the emergency phone lines would light up all over the area, from people swearing they were seeing a big, round UFO. At the altitude the ultralights were flying, the sound of their little lawnmower engines, well muffled, was either imperceptible or simply sounded like a distant background hum. If you have any playful ultralighters up there, consider them.

Let's hope it's aliens. If we are the only intelligent race out there, then lets hope the Mayans are correct
